I want to share with you my method for attracting prosperity and abundance. There are many ways you can prepare and execute a ritual of this nature. Over the years, I have whittled down my process and found the sweet spot, so to speak!
However, as always, I encourage you to experiment and find what will work best for you! It is always good to research and see what’s out there. Do a Google search for “Prosperity and Abundance Ritual” and you will have loads of options pop up. Check out what others are doing and see if their methods speak to you...or sparks inspiration within you. I find that doing this, along with mixing and blending methods can yield fruitful results.
Of note, “ritual” denotes the symbolic steps of preparation (the action), the “spell” is the incantation (the words) you speak to bring in your desired intention/manifestation. Both ritual and spell work hand-in-hand and are very potent in bringing about your desired wish.
First, what is prosperity and abundance?
Rather than rattle off an official dictionary definition, I like to use my own meaning. To me, prosperity is a state of being, usually measured in tangible, material wealth (a bumper crop, money, house, savings, lucrative employment, success). Abundance, in my mind, is having more than you need…an overflow of opulence, comfort, and richness. Abundance also evokes a feeling, so I equate it with a state of mind. You can be abundant with peace, calm, energy, ideas, motivation, etc.
Before undertaking any ritual or spell it’s a good idea to sit and reflect what it means to you. This is especially true if you are wanting to bring something towards you. It’s like that Joe Jackson song “You can’t get what you want (Till you know what you want)”. Love that song!
Anyways, as I said this is just my method. Feel free to use all of it or just parts of it… or allow it to just spark your inspiration.
Here are the items you will need:
Bowl or Tray
It is preferable that this be a gold color (rich) or even made of wood (grounded/stable/growth). Of course you can use whatever you have, as your energy behind the intention of your ritual is what matters most. But it needs to be pleasant looking and makes you feel opulent and powerful.
Cedar Chips
These can be purchased in a large bag and last a long time. Cedar is a great supportive ally when it comes to attracting prosperity and abundance. It is also grounded and protective. It packs quite a punch in this ritual!
Currency
This can be authentic/real paper money and coins, or fake/play paper money, anything that is currency. I like to incorporate all the above. I have real shredded money, 1-million-dollar bills (fake of course), dollar coins, silver dollars, quarters, and I like to include a few real bills. Use what you have on hand and feel intuitively drawn to use.
Buck Eye Nut
Brings good luck, fortune, and protection.
Acorn
Brings growth, transformation, and grounded security. An acorn seed will give way to a mighty Oak Tree!
Crystals
Pyrite: protection, confidence, and attraction.
Citrine: Attracts wealth and success, increases joy and optimism.
Malachite: Transformation, protection, helps ground the elements of pyrite and citrine.
Candle
Preferably a green candle housed in a fire safe container. Vigil Prayer candles work great for this) as they are in a tall glass cylinder. I pour my own candles for this, dressing them in supportive herbs, crystals, and cinnamon scent.
Herbs, Roots, & Oils
Cinnamon: Contains energetic properties to attract luck, abundance, and wealth.
Coffee: Enhances focus and intention. Add a little “zip” and “pep” to the energy.
Bay Leaf: Associated with good fortune, like a leaf from the proverbial “money tree”.
Money Drawing Oil: Blend of oil, herbs, roots that will enhance the power of the ritual. Can be purchased, or you can make your own.
Open Road Oil: Blend of oil, herbs, roots that will help remove obstacles and clear the path to acquiring lasting abundance/prosperity. Can be purchased, or you can make your own.
Mala Beads
Malas are used in Buddhism to count repetitions of mantras. Traditional malas have beads crafted from seeds, gemstones, or wood, and are often finished with an additional "guru" bead and a special knot and/or tassel. These are a very helpful tool for gaining the focus to visualize your intention. You can purchase them or string your own. Some people even use a rosary. Do what feels best for you.
Alright, once you’ve gathered your supplies...onward to the ritual!
I do want to reiterate that the most important part of any ritual/spell is the power of your conviction and intention. If you do not have some of these items on hand...feel free to improvise by omitting, or substituting items.
For the Bowl:
In your bowl, add a generous sprinkling of cedar chips.
Next, you will add the buckhorn nut and acorn.
After that, sprinkle throughout the bowl: cinnamon, coffee, and supportive oils.
Add your currency.
Then you will add your bay leaf to the bowl. This is where you want to write your desire/intention directly onto the leaf using a marker/sharpie. It can be one word “money”, “job”, or something more specific. I like to use Indian Bay leaves for this because they are larger than standard Bay leaves, and I can be a bit specific/wordy. Also, if using play paper money, feel free to write your intentions and desires directly on it as well.
Give the bowl and it’s contents one more sprinkle of cinnamon, coffee, and oils.
Add your crystals. Depending on the size, you can place them inside the bowl or around your candle.
For the Candle and Spell/Incantation:
Take your candle and place it near your bowl and crystals.
Take a breath, focus your intention, and while visualizing what you desire, say the following:
“I am prosperous and abundant, I am a money magnet. The more I give, the more I receive. Money flows to me with ease. Everything I spend returns to me three fold, everything I touch turns to gold. I am prosperous and abundant, I am a money magnet.” (repeat this part 3 times).
Then say:
“Under grace, in perfect ways, unexpected doors fly open open and unexpected channels are free, endless avalanches of abundance are poured out upon me. I have the magic purse of the Divine, it can never be depleted, as money goes out, immediately money comes in, it is always crammed, jammed full of abundance under grace in perfect ways. And on the count of 3 (snap your fingers 3 times) money comes to me, so mote it be.”
Take your mala beads, and with each bead say:
“I am prosperous and abundant, I am a money magnet.”
While doing this close your eyes and visualize in great detail what it is that you desire. For instance if you want to manifest a house, mentally walk through it, feel how excited you are to have it, take in the aesthetics, furniture, smells, sounds...engage all your senses in the visualization. Do this for the entire mala.
When finished, snuff out the candle. *Don’t blow it out.
Do this ritual each day with the same candle. After the candle has burned completely, then burn the Bay leaf in a firesafe dish/cauldron and blow the ashes outside your front door.
You can keep your bowl on your altar indefinitely, periodically refreshing the spices/ herbs/ oils.
All you need to do now is keep taking inspired action in the physical world and maintain a positive mindset, belief in knowing that your intention has already manifested. Resist the urge to “check-in” with Spirit to see where it is, when it will happen, etc. You just need to surrender and trust. You have just placed a Divine order, have complete faith that it will be delivered. Let Spirit take care of the details, you just need to be ready to receive.
I hope this was informative and inspired you! Remember, you are deserving of all good things!
Thank you for being here, I’d love to hear any thoughts, ideas, or questions you may have in the comments!
